Krantz Enterprises
Background
Krantz Enterprises manufactures and sells high-quality cypress
and pine building materials (flooring, siding, moldings, etc) through two web sites,
Jimmys-Cypress.com and
KrantzRecoveredWoods.com.
The sites are not typical e-commerce sites since orders are often in the
thousands of dollars and require special shipping considerations.
Before The 30/90 Group, Krantz Enterprises used a
hodge-podge of applications to create and process quotes. This required them to re-type
the same information in each application they were using — time-consuming and
error-prone to say the least. Other tasks like faxing and check processing were also completed manually.
Because so much of the process was manual, all order processing had to be performed by
an employee intimately familiar with the way the business works.
The Solution
The 30/90 Group addressed these issues by creating
a quote processing application for Krantz Enterprises that integrated the entire process
in a single system. This program:
- Manages all aspects of the workflow from the initial quote to processing of the sale
- Eliminates duplicate data entry: information is entered only once

Seamlessly integrates quotes entered by customers on company web sites
with those entered in the "back-office" application by company personnel
- Automatically applies appropriate discounts, taxes, and other business considerations
- Generates quotes in PDF format
- Supports faxing, printing, and payment processing from directly within the program
- Integrates with online, customer-initiated payments
- Exports completed sales to QuickBooks
Krantz Enterprises employees now spend much less time performing repetitive tasks,
freeing them to do other work. The application also improved their turnaround time for new
quotes, eliminated many transcription errors, and reduced training time for new employees.
The 30/90 Group provides ongoing support and enhancements
to the application. In addition, we have completed a full redesign
of Krantz Enterprises' two web sites.
